Business BULLSEYEOwning an online business can be totally overwhelming. Like… the physical embodiment of this emoji: ?

You know you have an amazing idea that will literally change lives, but… Where do you even start? How the heck will people find you? What do you actually even need to do?

Social media, emails, Facebook advertisements, sales funnels?

Oof. It’s a LOT to consider.

That’s why we’re going to talk about business strategies. Coming up with a business strategy is the first, major step toward success.

A clear business strategy is a lot like a treasure map. There is money to be had if you can follow all the steps.

Every good strategy begins with a few key essentials.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

Before I publish my next article, take some time to nail down these first few pieces of your business strategy. It will make the next part soooo much easier.

• Your big goal.

What do you want to achieve in your business? You may want to increase sales by 25%, or sign on one new client per month, or reach a certain income level by the end of the year. To achieve these goals, you’ll need to take specific actions.

• A mission statement.

What does your business stand for? What values do you want to represent? This will help you tailor your actions to represent your true mission.

• A unique selling proposition.

What makes your business stand out? It’s YOU!

• Some objectives.

The specific actions you take to reach your big goal will depend on your goal. But a plan for what they are and how to do them is the biggest part of your business strategy.

Once you’ve figured out the big picture, you can start to work on those objectives. Those are usually things like content direction, funnels, and marketing– all of which I teach in my Social Marketing Academy.
